Price blitzed Southern Hills for a second-round 5-under-par 65to set a tournament record for the biggest 36-hole lead.
He's at 8-under 132, and five strokes in front of Jay Haas (66Friday), Ben Crenshaw (67) and Corey Pavin (67). Biggest previous36-hole leads were four shots, by Tommy Aaron in 1967, Gil Morgan in1976, Tom Watson in 1978 and Greg Norman in 1986.
Price, trying to become the first golfer to win back-to-backmajor championships since Watson took the U.S. and British opens in1982, has a lock on this one - right?
