NSW: The NSW snow report for Friday August 15, 2008
SYDNEY, Aug 15 AAP - The NSW snow report for Friday, August 15, 2008:
THREDBO: Excellent snow cover across resort, with snow depth at its highest level in
three years. A cloudy start with more snow forecast later in the day. Top temperature
of minus three degrees. All lifts operating today and all roads open to the resort.
SELWYN: Fresh snowfalls brought 4cm overnight. Temps this morning hovering around minus
one degree with 12 lifts operating and roads open.
CHARLOTTE PASS: A dusting of snow overnight means cover is still excellent, with intermittent
snow showers predicted throughout the day. A top of 1 degree forecast for today with all
five lifts operating.
PERISHER: Cool overnight temperatures has kept the snow in excellent condition. Up
to 47 lifts operating with snow and ice cautions on roads leading to the resort - chains
required. Top temps expected to reach minus 1 degree.
